Efficient weed control – modern technology at IPM 2008
Even if in January there are not many weeds growing – weed control and available technologies will be an important issue at IPM in Essen. The Mantis ULV-Spruehgeraete GmbH therefore exhibits its MANKAR® ULV spraying systems as well as the Rotofix® roller wiper. These machines are interesting for all professional users for whom effectivity, cost-effectiveness and minimal risk for cultivated plants are essential.
The patented segment rotation nozzle which is basis of all MANKAR® ULV spraying systems, enables the exact and even distribution of undiluted herbicides. By that there is much lower quantity of herbicides needed in comparison to conventional sprayers which is advantageous not only with respect to financial aspects but also for the environment. As herbicides are applied without pressure vertically downwards the risk of drift and by that the risk for cultivated plants is minimal. For the special application area of sealed paths and squares the Rotofix® device which is officially approved by the German BBA is appropriate because avulsion of herbicide is avoided by the wiping technology used.
