This single-axle tractor is equipped with a 4-stroke motor with an automatic recoil starter, as well as with pneumatic-tyred wheels. Wheel drive takes place via a worm gear in an oil bath with a switch off mechanism. When used in conjunction with the UNIMA-E 60-120 FLEX, simplified weed control is made possible, even in rough terrain and over deep, soft ground.

Thanks to its articulated steering, it is easy to steer this STIGA® unit around trees and obstacles, underneath bushes, into corners and close to fences and walls. The rotation point is centred precisely between both axles so that the rear wheels follow the exact track of the front wheels and nudging against or hitting trees, for example, can be avoided. The extensive configuration includes such equipment as a hydrostat gear mechanism, hydraulic power-assisted steering, a hydraulic equipment lifter and a spring-mounted comfort seat. In most cases, the STIGA® is deployed with a front-mounted mower attachment. Equipment quick-attachment fixtures are separable, making possible the simplified exchange of front-mounted units such as the UNIMA-City. The hydraulic equipment lifter makes possible an infinite adjustment of the spraying system operating height, which helps minimise driftage. A tow hitch coupling enables the use of further equipment such as the TRAMUS-City.

An electric connection for recharging the MANKAR® Spraying system batteries may not be available at all times or at all locations. Using an auxiliary inverter module, the charging device delivered with the unit can also be powered over the car cigarette lighter. Other charging devices (e.g. mobile telephone) can also be connected.

For some applications, additional shielding may be desired in order to be absolutely sure that driftage will not occur, even during strong wind conditions. For this purpose, brushes or rubber flaps are optionally available as auxiliary equipment for the spray hood, which can be installed either by Mantis, or by your own personnel. Due to the fine distribution and the low output quantities required for weed control with the MANKAR® ULV Spraying systems, those areas where herbicide has already been, or has not yet been applied cannot necessarily be determined. Using the MANKAR® Marker, the pathway already covered is marked with foam droplets at specific distance intervals. This enables better orientation and helps to prevent the omission of, or the double spraying of surface areas being treated.
