Redesigned weed control - Mini Mantra Plus HQ

A new version of the Mini Mantra Plus is presented by Mantis at the IPM 2011. Not only the new, modern design, but also various technical improvements are noticeable: Cables and hoses now run by the integrated herbicide container within the housing and the spray hood to the nozzle, so that they cannot get caught somewhere. The switch of the device is better protected than in the previous model because it lies within the housing and has been optimized technically. The weight of the device was further reduced. All materials are very robust and UV resistant. During the development Mantis also placed great value on ergonomics, thus the new Mini Mantra Plus HQ is well balanced.

The patented segment rotation atomiser of Mantis is again core of the new Mini Mantra Plus HQ, the technical core element. Still, this is the only nozzle which allows applying undiluted Glyphosate and other herbicides exactly downwards. E.g. for Roundup UltraMax, the required quantity can be reduced by up to 80% (depending on the surface and weed coverage) with this efficient spraying technology, that is one bottle filling is sufficient for up to 5,000 m2.

For over a year, there is a close cooperation between Mantis and the Technical University Hamburg-Harburg (TUHH), to further develop the patented atomiser. By optimizing the atomiser, for example a higher maximum flow rate is possible, so that even with large quantities of herbicide as required for control of problematic weeds or for biological herbicides a consistently uniform droplet size is produced and "dripping" from the atomiser is avoided.
