MANKAR®-CARRY - Hand-held units for the highest degree of flexibility

The hand-held MANKAR® models are well suited for deployment in areas of dense cultivation, areas where regular rows have not been planted, or anyplace where, due to surface properties, a high degree of flexibility is needed.

Metering takes place by manual adjustment of the metering valve, depending on the herbicide being used. Herbicide travels by gravitational force from the tank to the nozzle via the valve. The nozzle is activated by the push of a button, meaning that spray is actuated only where needed. In order to achieve a uniform apportioning per unit of surface area (e.g. l/ha), the anticipated walking speed must be considered when adjusting the valve and the output must be held as constant as possible.

Spray widths are available from 20 to 50 cm. On some units, the spray width can be infinitely adjusted by rotating the spray hood.

The MANKAR HQ with additional monitoring functions!

  • The flow control allows a visual check of the flowrate.
  • A new monitoring function with LED light allows more confidence in the sprayer: The LED glows green if the MANKAR HQ is operating correctly. If the battery has to be recharged it glows yellow. A red glowing LED means that the function of the atomiser has to be checked and – if necessary – recovered (e.g. cleaning the sprayer if the atomiser is glued by herbicide).
    Ease of use:
  • The adjustable spraying width between 15 and 45 cm is fi xed automatically without having to tighten any screws or nuts.
  • The weight of the device has been reduced to 2.4 kg
  • Thanks to optimum ergonomics, the device feels well balanced in the hand. A carrying strap also makes things easier.
  • Thanks to a lid with closable air vent it’s secure that there is no herbicide leaking out if the sprayer is layed down on the side or packed into the optional ABS carrying case.
  • A protection cover for the spray hood protects the atomiser from pollution and ensures that no herbicide drips out. Thus als transportation in a car is unproblematic.
  • The sprayer is delivered alternatively in a card box or with an ABS carrying case for secure transport and storage of the MANKAR HQ.

  • All components are protected very well against damage as a result of integration into the housing.

The most popular model is the Mini-Mantra Plus with its adjustable spray width of 15 to 45 cm. This all-rounder is suited to differing areas of application, from point-specific application in flower beds up to in-row cultivation. Users working very large surface areas (e.g. in vineyards) like to use this as a starter model, allowing them to become familiar with the ULV technology before moving up to larger models (MANKAR®-Roll or -Drive).

Thanks to the straight spray hood edges, the Mini-Mantra is particularly well suited to spraying along lawn borders, for example, and for accessing right-angled corners. The spray width is adjustable from 10 to 30 cm.

The Micro-Mantra has a fixed spray width of 20 cm. It works especially well between and underneath small plants due to its round spray hood, as it will not get hung up, even at very narrow locations.

The Mantra is the largest portable unit with a spray width of 50 cm. It was developed especially for flexible deployment in Christmas tree nurseries and for forestry applications. Heavy branches can be lifted without a problem thanks to the reinforced spray hood attachment, so that even those areas underneath the trees are easily accessible. A carrying strap provides relief to the back and arms while working. Further areas of application include nurseries, areas around high-voltage pylons, etc.
