The range of models encompasses hand-held units (MANKAR®-Carry), hand-pushed units (MANKAR®-Roll), spray systems for frontal or rear mounting and attachment onto tractors, small tractors and quads (MANKAR®-Drive). Which of these models is the most suitable will depend, above all, on the surface to be treated, or rather on the answers to the following questions
- How large ist the surface to be handled?
- Is the surface continuous or divided into very small parcels?
- Should weed control take place by means of hand-operated units or motor vehicles?
- What are the surface properties (e.g. slope, roughness, soil conditions)?
Christmas tree nurseries
MANKAR® ULV spraying systems were originally developed for the undiluted application of glyphosate (e.g. Roundup® products). However, the units are suited for use with most liquid herbicides. The advantages of MANKAR® ULV spraying systems can be used particulary with foliar herbicides, especially where the protection of cultivated plants against damage from herbicide contacts is essential.

In practice, deployment of the units with glyphosate still finds most widespread usage. In addtion, there are numerous other herbicides already being applied with MANKAR® ULV spraying units, such as those with the active substances glufosinate (e.g. BASTA®) and mixtures of 2,4-D, mecoprop-P, MCPA and dicamba (e.g. Banvel® M). Various practical trials have demonstrated the suitability of other herbicides.
